Workshops
May 15-16, 2000
Newark, NY

Newark, NY

The workshop took place in 2000 in the town of Newark, located within New York’s Finger Lakes region.

The workshop was hosted by SUNY Syracuse, the official Northeast Regional Your Town Center, and cosponsored by the Wayne County Planning Department. It marked the 24th Your Town workshop held nationally and the eighth in the northeast. Between May 15-16, over 30 regional leaders gathered for design lectures, group engagements, case study presentations, and the culminating Your Town workshop based on design challenges in a rural New York town. Programming aimed to address the specific needs and issues of rural New York, particularly those found in Wayne County.
