Hendersonville, NC

The Hendersonville workshop was the first one hosted in North Carolina, and took place at the Kanuga Conference Center.

The workshop, held on May 6-8, 1999, was coordinated by University of Georgia’s School of Environmental Design, with Pratt Cassity as workshop coordinator. The workshop was also attended by Mark Robbins, the Director of Design from the National Endowment for the Arts. The 29 attendees came from across the region, including North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Florida, and Louisiana, and explored design issues for a hypothetical town that is preparing for rapid growth and population influx.
